I'm in OKC on a work project from NYC and was needing my favorite comfort food since the weather was cold. I wasn't expecting much but a friend took me here. I had the veg pho and it hit the spot. The woman who owns it was great! Felt like my mom was cooking me dinner. If you have never had pho think of it as the Asian chicken noodle soup. It's so fresh, and good for you. Don't forget to put the bean sprouts, basil and squeeze lime on top!

The scene. You've been away all weekend at a crossfit competition and you come in sounding like a raspy man who's chain smoked his entire life, but you're really just a blonde white girl. The waitress instantly asks if i'm okay. When I said yes, thanked her, and asked for a menu to place an order to-go, she instantly asked if I wanted tea with fresh ginger. Uh, yes please! I had already called ahead to ask if they had MSG free alternatives to their broth. I'm of a mind set that MSG stands for migraine so gigantic. When I placed my order, and asked her about the MSG alternative, she had no idea what I was saying. The cook came out, and instantly understood me, and told me that he would hook me up with some delicious soup goodness that'll cure the f*&k outta my man voice. Okay, maybe those weren't his EXACT words. It took about 35 minutes for my food to be made, but it was a special order, and I had my tea, so I was happy to wait. While I was waiting, a woman, who I assume was his wife, came out and gave me instructions on how to finish blasting this sh*t outta my system. She also schooled me on what happens if you eat too much ginger. Yikes! I will ABSOLUTELY go back.

Little difficult to find, see my tip. Their fried egg rolls and pho were delicious. Some may think they give little veggies compared to other restaurants, but it was perfect for us. The service was awesome as well. Overall, great food for a good price.

On a day where the high was 39°F, hot ph was a perfect choice -- but apparently this choice was not just perfect but divine. Ph Ca Dao is the hole-in-the-wall, signless, not-so-secret-foodie-hipster secret that other reviews may (or may not) have observed, but I prefer to call Ph Ca Dao minimalist, signage-efficient, and wisely acclaimed. These are all beside-the-point because simplistic charm or unfinished decor are neither the draw not the point -- I don't even care who is eating here or not -- the wonderful thing about this delightful restaurant is that they excel at one thing: serving classic Vietnamese comfort food. The smell that wafts as you walk inside will make your stomach growl like a bear. The aroma of slow-cooking meats and fragrant vegetables will make your knees buckle. But that is not the end of the incredible journey. I ordered a P10 (noodle soup with brisket and rare beef/ph tái chín) plus meatballs. Ok, this is a typical order for me, but today this order was atypically better than any ph I've had in several months. And for several reasons. The amount of onion was unbelievable, both thinly sliced white and tiny diced green dancing in my bowl like snow flurries on the hills. The broth, served just hot enough, was like liquid happiness. But the stars were the three meats. The rare beef cooked in the both and was still tender yet meaty when the pink color disappeared. The brisket dissolved in my mouth like flash paper in fire. The meatballs, thoughtfully sliced about a quarter of an inch thick, were also tender -- and lacking the chewiness and gaminess I'd come to expect after years of eating ph. This bowl of ph is seriously special. I throw my weight around as a Yelper -- but only to my dinning companions. "Excuse me, I need to taste that -- it's for the review I'm writing." Using guilt and chopsticks, I tried several bits of the ch giò (fried spring roll), and I swear it has to be the absolute best I've ever had. I don't mean to brag, but I am a bit of an expert in the field.... They were spicy, crispy, and pork flavor-saturated. I even commented directly to the chef/owner, who was quite happy to chat about all kinds of Vietnamese food -- we both love 7 beef, it turns-out! And while she may just take the compliments in-stride, I sadly have a new favorite Vietnamese eatery four hours from home. The one drawback is the over-priced and under-sized gi cun (summer rolls). I tried the variety sampler and was somewhat nonplussed. The hoisin sauce was somewhat thin. I will say that they were fresh and delicious. If the size was increased or price reduced, they would be more tempting. I'll be back when I visit OKC, happily ducking into a signless, sparsely-decorated, yet clean, welcoming, and enticing semi-secret new favorite restaurant.

I think this restaurant is the best Pho restaurant in OKC. The soup in Pho is so delicious. I also ate Spring rolls (with grill pork) there. Definitely, they're yummy. The Egg rolls are good too. The owner of this restaurant is nice. They're friendly. Customers coming here are usually American or Vietnamese American who live in U.S for a long time.

I think this is the best pho in the metro. Of all the places I've tried in OKC, this is the cleanest with the best decor, the most delicious food and THEY ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. When it comes to this particular cuisine, I'm honestly not very adventurous. If it comes from a part of the animal I'm not familiar with, it's a no-go for this girl. That being said, their brisket pho is solid and I love that you have the option to order extra noodles (for a small fee, of course). The shrimp spring rolls are fresh with the perfect combination of ingredients and they're extremely generous with the sauces and other fixins. We generally go in on Saturday afternoons and I'm always amazed they're not slammed. Because, let's face it, we all know it's THE BEST hangover cure and just plain delicious to boot.

Ordered the bun bo hue. It was very different than what I would expect. The broth color was not red, no pig feet or pig blood - very disappointing. Also, their credit card machine would not accept my corporate card - which worked flawlessly prior and afterwards at other establishment. I've never had a issue with my corporate cc before.

I came back here recently and they still don't have a sign for their restaurant! Driving down Classen, you would have no idea this place even existed. It's in a building with several other suites. I've tried several entrees and I've liked it all. Prices are not expensive. The pho broth is some of the best the Asian district has to offer. The Thai tea is also worth trying. Service is surprisingly good. This is not common at most Vietnamese restaurants. Usually you get ignored til you flag a waitress down if you need something.

I hesitate in writing this review because part of me wants to keep Pho Ca Dao all to myself. But I also, selfishly, want to ensure that they stay in business for years to come and therefore feel obligated to share the scrumptiousness that is Pho Ca Dao with the Yelp community. I'm never really sure of when this joint is open because I've frequently passed by at, oh say 6 PM on a Thursday looking for a pho fix only to find a dark room. :( But when those lights are on I feel like I've hit the pho jackpot! I think that if forced I could sustain myself for a least a week on their broth alone. The garnish is always fresh and they have the noodle to broth ratio calculated to perfection. It's difficult to meander from the pho when I visit, but on the rare occasion when I have I have been equally pleased by the vermicelli bowls. Grilled pork, of course. With the fried eggroll. And oodles and oodles of tasty fish sauce. (I think I just drooled on my keyboard.) If you dine here, it's highly likely that your party will be the only patrons in the establishment, which means that you will get superb service. And don't worry about the waitress not writing down your order - she never does. But no matter how large your party, she'll get it right. Every time. And she'll remember who ordered what; none of this "Who got the P9?" nonsense. And yeah, she's studying microbiology in the corner, but she'll notice when your water glass is 1/2 empty and will get it refilled pronto. She'll probably also be finding cures for cancer in like 15 years b/c that girl is on top of EVERYTHING.

One of our favorite restaurants in OKC! Super friendly staff, and they have excellent vegetarian pho! A rare find in the OKC pho circuit!

This is my favorite pho place in the 405. I consistently get the spring rolls and the P7. Fast and dependably delicious. Mmmmm pho.

Had pho there today It was okay, hit the spot when I was hungry The veggies plate for pho could have been fresher Place was fairly empty for a weekday evening (about 3 other tables that had people there)

It was ok! The Egg Rolls were incredible!!! Everything else was sub-par! The sushi was dried out and lacked flavor. Probably won't go back!

I came in here looking for a different Vietnamese place than my usual half dozen. It was surprisingly nicer than I expected with cream and black decor. Granted I came in here 5 minutes before closing, they still welcomed me without any sighs or frustration. I am not a big fan of the clear noodles and wanted a lot of seafood, so they substituted the rice noodles for the clear noodles in the seafood bowl. The prices were a little higher (by $1 or so) than the other places I have been to, but having someone talk to me in clear and proper English is worth the extra $1. I will be coming back here again.

First exposure to pho, but at my brother's request, I set out to find a spot to get the man his fix. This is why you should be nice to Joy and Carly, because they steered me right and I got to try this place. I can report that as of October 2013, they still don't have a sign on their business,* but they were open for a delicious lunch. I ordered the house special, including beef, tendon, and tripe (let's go all out, right?), and it was indeed as good as I'd been told. The only way to tell what particular piece of meat I was eating was from texture, since the broth took over all the different ingredients. I was particularly impressed with the high-quality fresh basil, since throwing it into the pho led to that "transformation of the ingredient into something with a completely different yet distinct flavor when mixed" thing which is the sign of excellent cooking. Service was friendly and attentive, the place was clean and well-maintained, and it was very filling at a reasonable cost. We couldn't have had a nicer lunch. When we were about midway through the meal, my two-year-old niece lifted her head out of her bowl, looked at my brother, my wife and me, and said in her cutest little-kid voice, "We're eating noodles together." Couldn't have said it better myself. * I feel like we should hold a telethon or something. It's not that the sign is small, unlit or difficult to see. THERE IS NO SIGN on the front of the business at all, just a lit one inside the place.

Look for the Ngoc Jewelry Sign. The restaurant is right next door. If you follow google maps and you think you can diverge the "loop" the restaurant really can be difficult to find. Just look for Ngoc Jewelry store; it's in the same plaza. There is plenty of parking around 8pm when I arrived. I ordered B4 and my date ordered B2. We both got Bun, vermicelli noodles with fresh veggies, egg roll, and meats. I got the combination bun with egg roll, pork, and shrimp. My date ordered the pork and egg roll bun. Traditionally there are peanuts, bean sprouts, pickled carrots, radish, basil, mint leaves, cucumber, lettuce and basil in bun dishes. Our bun was missing the mint and the lettuce was iceberg. I was pleased with my dish especially for OKC in the winter. I was most impressed by the quality of my meat. The pork slice was charbroiled, but still moist and not burnt to a crisp like usual. The shrimp and pork were well seasoned. I almost did not need the fish sauce (nuoc mam). The waitress was very friendly and even asked us if we wanted slices of lemon. She gave us fresh slices that I added to my fish sauce. The cafe sua da was tasty. A bowl of bun will set you back ~7.25-7.75. Coffee is about 3-4$. This place is reasonably priced for the quality and freshness of the food. The noodles were made when we ordered and everything tasted fresh. I found my to-go-to OKC Vietnamese Restaurant! Accepts Visa and MasterCard!

I love pho and have my favorite places in the area, but I thought I'd try Pho Ca Dao for the first time due to the high reviews posted here. I don't get it Yelpers - I was very underwhelmed. Noodles were too soft and bland, broth was weak, and meat that should be somewhat lean was very, very fatty. It was at least quiet - there were hardly any customers even though today was rainy and Pho Lian Hoa was surely packed. Food was meh, service was meh, atmosphere was meh, but I'm glad I gave it a shot.

Apparently, there is a trend van that picks everyone (who cares) up in OKC, provides direction in the way of taste, and integrates them back into mainstream society with prophet techniques and lure. It began by making geek cool and progressed towards an affordable Ray Ban. Somewhere along the way, Pho was introduced. And boy howdy. This stuff is popular. I don't need to tell you about pho or try to convince, but I will say, if you are a vegetarian/vegan, you can eat here. I don't eat pho because of the broth, and I've yet to find a place that uses vegetable broth. (Please! Someone tell me!) So, I found a place that makes a good tofu vermicelli bowl. This is it, my dears. Bonus! They have tofu spring rolls too. Let's get real, I'm a condiment whore. I will razzle dazzle a Kleenex if that's what sits on my plate. And in a hurry, I've gotten my vermicelli to-go. I don't recommend it. I like to sit in this tiny restaurant with the owner reading the newspaper, a radio channel I don't understand, and condiments. I take this vermicelli bowl that is a mighty fine standalone, and I will impregnate it without warning. I'm telling you. Hook it up. You can't go wrong. What you end up with is a very spicy, refreshing, noodle bowl. The cucumbers keep it cool, and I'm banking on this as my primary source of sustenance come June or July. I went there four times in two weeks after my first visit, and I'll continue to go. And just to give it some street cred for the pho phans, my meat-eating-broth-drinking friends like it too.

Pho Lien Hoa, you have met your match. I'm sorry but you are not my pho-vorite noodle soup place anymore. Pho Ca Dao is a.maze.ing ! This little place is a hole in the wall that you've driven by a hundred times and never knew it was there, but I know it's there and I am telling yelp and the world. Yelpers, go here. Eat Pho and enjoy yourself.

One of the best Pho I have ever had. It is a small mom & pop place, nothing fancy , nice and clean. The lady is super nice and makes her broth fresh everyday. Portions are decent sized. Will definitely come again..

Nice variety of spring rolls, I had the grilled pork, it was really good. Large menu, I got the P1, it was really good pho with a large amount of noodle and meat. I thought the broth had a nice flavor. I will be back next time I'm in this area of OKC.

Very good. Great family run business and good food. Will go back again. Hard to find, it's off the main road a few businesses in a strip mall.

I am not a pho fan because I am a vegetarian. But my husband is a huge fan and eats pho at least four times a week. This is a place we both enjoyed! They DO have vegetable broth and they gave a good variety of veg (carrots, cabbage, squash, mushrooms) in that soup. Add in the bean sprouts for some crunch and yummy! I would recommend this place. Clean, friendly, and delicious :)

Excellent pho. One of those places where you will hear as much Vietnamese as English spoken so you know it is good enough to attract the experts in the cuisine. Delicious and meaty fried egg rolls. This place was as good as any Vietnamese restaurant anyplace in the US.

Come here if... 1. You don't have cash and want to pay by credit card. 2. You are on a hot date and don't want to leave smelling like you just had Pho. 3. Love Vietnamese egg rolls with pungent fish dipping sauce 4. Want a bowl of bun with a ton of garlic and peanuts 5. Want a quiet atmosphere with realitively good service (this is compared to other Vietnamese places mind you) They increased their pho prices. Darmnamarng!!! I think they changed owners or something. The last few times I've dined here with the husband, we've noticed that the food isnt as good, which makes me :( Come for the rolls. Everything else.. *big faaat sigh*

I'm about 95.128% positive that I may have found my new favorite pho restaurant in OKC. Nothing calls for pho like : 1. Winters in OKC with gusting winds. 2. Allergy season in OKC with gusting winds. Soooo... pretty much pho is a year-round food in this town. Today fell into category two, and I thought I'd mix it up a little bit by branching out, though whether I wanted to try something new or just avoid embarrassment of (yet again) being seen at Pho Hoa for the sixth time this month is debatable. (The staff recognizes me, and my hair isn't red anymore.) First, let's get down to business. While waiting for my P1, I sat around doot-dee-doo-ing for a while and checking Yelp for more places in town to eat (um, seriously...), so I figured they were cooking noodles to order; it was slow with only two other tables. That arduous extra ten minute wait was worth it. The broth was intense and flavored very strongly with hits of anise and fish sauce, and accompanying vegetables were rinsed and very fresh. The P1 is my gold standard for comparing pho places... otherwise, how do you know who has the best random cow parts? They use solid chunks of tendon. On fleek. Tripe is still the thin, thin sheet kind that they use at most pho places around town. The brisket was a thicker cut slice, and their other meats in there were great, too. The pho meat quality and thickness was probably the best I've had in town. I didn't care anymore that this place looks dodgy and dark. I actually didn't want this bowl of pho to end. But it did... and quickly. For two reasons: 1. They are NOT joking around when they say a small is a SMALL. (PS- no matter where you go, why are small pho sizes always put in this tiny bowl that doesn't give you room to mix your stuff in?) 2. The rule of Asian people being a bottomless pit for noodles and rice still applies. I wasn't even starving though, and I finished the whole thing off. As you can see. Some things are kinda $$$ here, like their spring rolls. I think it was $4 for 2, which is a huge mark-up compared to other places. Other people say they are delish though, so worth a try with some company next time. When you walk in, the decor is meh. Slightly dingy with an attempt at a face lift with paint colors, but at the end of the day if you are still painting make-up on a bumpy frog face, you still haven't fixed the fact that it's a frog you're painting make-up on. Like I said though, face in pho bowl means the world around me melts away. If you're one of our Yelpers that believes that grubby Asian restaurants should have good service, you'll be excited to know that they actually try here! Anyway, I'll be back this week as neither allergy season nor gusting winds are going anywhere anytime soon, and this time I'm definitely doing the Goldilocks and trying a different size bowl on to find "just right" =)

Love this place.... I just wish it looked cleaner and that their working hours were longer.... It is really hard d to catch them open late and night which is when I usually fee like having Vietnamese food. Flavor beats any other restaurant, but portions are smaller with prices just slightly higher (maybe 1 or 2 bucks more per dish)

If you're vegetarian/vegan they have the BEST Pho and Tofu Bun in Oklahoma City!!! They are by far the best in my book! Always amazing food, good service and great prices! The pho veggie pho with tofu is my fave.

After moving to Tulsa I started having major Asian food withdrawal. We have a few good options but when I'm craving good Vietnamese or Thai food within driving distance, I always head to OKC. I used to always visit a place called Pho Saigon for their vegetarian pho and unreal thai green curry but it recently closed down so we had to find an alternative. Pho ca dao makes a veggie pho so we decided to drop in. The space is ok - a little less inviting than the other Vietnamese joints on Classen (which isn't necessarily the highest bar) but it was ok and seemed clean. Our server was really friendly and helpful in choosing our dishes. The veggie pho was DELCIOUS! Most of the times, veggie pho really is just noodle soup in a pretty basic broth. Pho Da Cao is a winner though - the broth has really great, developed flavor. Everything else was pretty good as well.

I really just didn't like this place. After reading all of the reviews from my friends and fellow Yelpers and seeing how much they all liked it, I thought I would try them out. I thought it was a good sign that they had a sign when so many of the reviews mentioned that there wasn't one (I didn't see the tips until waiting for my food). Once I got in and waited. And walked to the front and waited. And continued to awkwardly wait for a couple of minutes, I thought maybe this was a bad sign. But it couldn't be! All of my friends liked it! But the longer I stayed and tried to enjoy my food, the more I just could not. Honestly, it was pretty close to the worst pho I have ever had. I'm sorry, but it's true. The broth tasted watered down, and the meat was dry. The more I ate of it the more disappointed I became. The shrimp spring rolls were okay, but I've had much better and much better sauces with a much better price. Their other dishes may be better, but I probably won't go myself or suggest it.

Very good soup & the fresh spring rolls were good too. Yet to get above 3 stars they would need a more extensive menu. Don't get me wrong the Pho was wonderful and I like the fact they take credit cards, but this is a basic soup shop.

My review is for 4.5 stars This would be a 4 star in a city such as Houston or Seattle where the vietnamese population is huge, and good pho a plenty. But for OKC, it is about as good as it gets. The broth is rich and flavorful. The veggies fresh and crunchy. And a great selection on the menu. I did not expect this kind of authenticity in OKC. Bravo! The half star deduction is for the slowness of the service. But well worth the wait.
